History of Harvest Church
In 1996 Pastor Ray & Hilda Murrell conducted the first service of Harvesttime Assembly of God in a little house on the back of an 11-acre parcel of land at the corner of Northern and 83rd Avenue.
An old garage was converted, currently Bldg D. RV M.A.P.S. volunteers built a new sanctuary, what is now Bldg C. Both of these facilities are currently used for the purpose of church planting.
Dr. Ron & Sue Rockwell became lead pastors of Harvest Church on June 1, 2001.
During this time, the ministry of the church and the work of our RV Volunteers continued, and Bldg C was expanded to meet the growing need for space. In 2005 a brand new sanctuary was built, which has now become the Student Center and Fellowship Hall.
With a desire to meet the needs of families and children in the area, Harvest Kidz Preschool (Bldg B), was built and opened. We provide a Christian-based, private Preschool and Kindergarten.
In 2010 Harvest Church opened a brand new, state-of-the-art, 1,000 seat Worship Center. This facility includes a café court, nursery, preschool rooms, Christian education classrooms, and executive offices.
Throughout the past decade, Pastor Ron and the leadership of Harvest Church have been committed to providing ministry to people of all backgrounds. With this purpose in mind, we are pleased to provide a variety of churches under the umbrella of Harvest Church: La Vid Verdadera (Spanish), Restoration Springs Church (Bi-lingual: Spanish/English), Phoenix Open Door Church (Korean), Penual Ministries (Rwandan), and Samoan Connection Community Church (Samoan).
